This should not be a surprise to anyone! the first 3d adventure for Link to undertake, was by far the most in depth at the time of it's release! the pinnacle of what games are still trying to achieve to this day!
Super Nintendo outdid itself with this masterpiece! The transition of the Light to Dark World is still a model used to this day in a lot of games. The music started here (aside from the harp from Links Awakening), but the temples, the weapons, the story progression....unreal and still one of the greatest!
This will come as a surprise, but hear me out: This was the prequel to the whole series. the controls were intuitive (I liked them), the story and the time crystals were incredible! discovering the world of Hyrule from the top of the clouds was amazing! And the music is absolutely stunning! this is, in my opinion, the most underrated release and should be appreciated way more! For those who didn't like it, you need to play it again, every fiber is great about this game!
With the open world concept (this time, real open world) Link was able to do....well pretty much whatever he wanted! allowed the game to played completely different every single time. furthermore, everything was a weapon, anywhere was obtainable, and they veered away from temples and focused on ancient creatures, or divine beasts, to be awaken to gain entrance to the final form of Gannon. Beautiful game front to back!
